Not sure what causes this, but when I make a new post, I get a blank page that says "Null 500."
My website, however, does get updated.
Any reason for this? Thanks.

I've never seen that error, perhaps it has problems with Verity. Do you know if you have Verity enabled in your server?

Hmm... not sure. I'll ask my host and get back to you.

Well, I don't know if that is the problem, but it was the only thing I could think of. It won't hurt to ask them.

Verity is an indexing engine that comes with ColdFusion. It indexes text (in this case posts) to make it faster to search later. It also provides result for not-exact searches like a search engine (AND, OR, etc)

Hi Laura!
So I asked my hosting company and they said it's disabled on the server.

Verity is not really needed, so you should be fine. I don't know why it would give you such an error, since I develop in the Mac version of CF, which also doesn't have Verity, and never seen it. Maybe they have some kind of special configuration.

Does it happen every time you make a post?

Yes, when I post, edit a post, or delete a post.
I found an article on the cfm website.
