Am I missing something? Can this blog engine ping search engines like Technorati?

I created a plugin for this purpose last night, enjoy if you haven't already rolled your own.

Is there a way to change the trigger event, so that it also triggers when you save a draft post as published?

I will try to add Feed Squirrel today...

I think the trigger i'm using already fires on both save and update, but I will confirm that as well...

I did talk to Andy to let him know I had done it. He said he had already wrapped his own but that he had done everything hardcoded into a "plugin-in".
