One of the greatest new features in WordPress is the wiki-style revision history on posts. Every change is saved and can be reviewed and reverted to. So far, Mango seems to be a great solution to my needs, but adding this would make it solid gold. :)

jc,
I am actually working on a wiki plugin that would probably do that. The part you are asking for is actually very straight forward to implement, as your plugin would get notified when updates are made, and then the plugin would save this new version. The most difficult part is implementing the UI: the admin screen where you choose the versions, you view them, you rollback, etc.

That'd be fantastic. You could always swipe the basic flow from WordPress. :)

Hey Laura -- Any progress on this? My company's looking at outsourcing our primary domain to a third party vendor, and I'm trying to "rescue" it. The two major things missing from Mango are this sort of versioning, and possibly granular permissions (is there a way to create a role that can only do drafts with someone else having to approve them?)

Thanks!

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply, I've been out of town. I haven't started on the versioning, but I do want to do it soon.
The other request is already implemented, you just need to un-check the permission "Publish Posts" for the given role in the Role management page in the admin.

jc,
Unfortunately, not much progress yet, I've been too busy :(

Actually, unless I'm doing something wrong, unchecking "Publish Posts" doesn't work. Once the post has been published, the user can edit the published post. Ideally, the system would create a draft copy of that post, without changing the live copy until an editor/approver approved the changes. More basic than full wiki-style versioning, but it would do the job.
