Christmas Theme

Mango Wear themes
Designer Mark Aplet has launched a new website for Mango themes: Mango Wear. This is very good news for users of Mango because it means you'll have a great source for quality themes. He already has four free themes and two beautiful premium themes that are really worth the money.
I hope to be able to add his free themes to the admin downloads, but in the meantime, you can download them from his new website. While you are there, consider buying one of his premium themes, to get a "unique" look for your blog.
Glossy Blue theme updated
Mango release 1.2 included a new set of tags to show the latest comments made to the blog, to any entry. The original Glossy Blue theme had a list of comments at the bottom of the page. I removed that from Mango's version because Mango didn't have that feature. Since that feature was added, I updated Glossy Blue to be truer to its original version.
To download the update, you need to login to your administration, go to Settings > Themes, and there you should see a yellow box indicating that there is an update for that theme. It will also show you a link to the download. You can then upload the files to your server (only changed files are included in the download).
Event Start Template
All theme templates announce a set of events that can be used by plugins to output data at various places on the page. When creating a new theme, you must make sure that it announces all the available template events, so that plugins can do their jobs. For example, Google Analytics plugin listens for the "beforeHtmlBodyEnd" event to output the necessary JavaScript code that it uses to track visitors. If the theme does not announce that event, then Google Analytics plugin will not track visitors on that page.
Because there are many events a page must announce, it is easy to forget some events. To help on that task, Mark Aplet has created an Event Start Template that contains all the events your theme must announce.
Star Gazer theme
Mark Aplet has created a nice theme called Star Gazer. You can read more about it at Mark's blog. I've added it to the admin downloads, but you can also download it from his site. Good job Mark!
Modified Nautica 05 theme
Russell Brown has made available a modified Nautica 05 theme. He made a couple of changes to the skin to make it more compact and made other enhancements. Read more and download from Russell's blog.
